Diversity and Inclusion

“Our latest analysis reaffirms the strong business case for both gender diversity and ethnic and cultural diversity in corporate leadership—and shows that this business case continues to strengthen. The most diverse companies are now more likely than ever to outperform less diverse peers on profitability.”

McKinsey and Company, May 2020

There is a wealth of literature, commentary and discussion on the problems of workforce inequality – from discrimination in recruitment to pay gaps and barriers to progression, from bullying and harassment to exclusion and inequality in social networks, and across all strands of diversity. The moral imperative for increasing workforce diversity and inclusion (D&I) is clear.

CIPD, October 2019

We know that both from a business performance and a moral/ethical standpoint, diversity and inclusion are vitally important. However, the subject is vast and the possible interventions many. How do you know where to start as an organisation?

The fact is, you can’t tackle the problem until you know the full extent of the problem. At the Inclusive Coach, we use a robust framework to ensure that you are focusing on the most impactful activity to deliver your strategy, achieve your goals and create the changed outcomes that you, your employees and your customers/clients want.

I partner with your organisation by using evidence to plan, implement and measure the most effective DEI interventions. I collaborate with a fabulous team of other experts in this field such as data scientists and researchers where necessary.

See below for specific diversity and inclusion services and contact me if you are interested in these or for a no obligation chat about how I can partner with your organisation to create a more inclusive workplace.

Level Up to Inclusive Leadership

In order to create and harness diverse and inclusive teams and organisation, a very special kind of leadership is required - inclusive leadership. Inclusive leaders are collaborative, courageous, culturally intelligent, aware of their own limitations and resilient.

The Level Up to Inclusive Leadership Programme is a module based coaching programme that works on an individual and group basis. We examine what it takes to be an inclusive leader, where that leader is now on that journey and then we work in partnership to set a path to achieving our leadership goals.

This is an engaging programme that requires challenging introspection along with expertise on creating inclusive leaders and workplaces.

You Can be what you Can’t See.

Although we may be seeing some progress towards greater gender diversity in our workplaces, there is little evidence to indicate any improvements for Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority women in their workplace, homes or communities. In fact, much research shows clearly that women of colour have been the most adversely affected due to Covid in terms of work prospects, happiness levels and life satisfaction.

This coaching programme - You Can be what you Can’t See - is specifically for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Women. Eight coaching sessions, challenging conversations, insightful tools, powerful support and very real change for the better. Your BAME women will learn much more about themselves than ever before - including specific aspects that originate from gender and ethnicity - and how to make progress towards their career goals. In the process, they will learn how to be successful without burning out.

This is good for you as much as it is for them. There is a huge amount of talent to be harnessed in our women of colour and yet, we do them a disservice by ignoring the extra help that they may need to achieve their potential.

This programme is unique so please contact me for further information.
